Speaking of Marc Jacobs, speculation about who is going to replace John Galliano at Dior has been a flutter over the past few months. Last week WWD reported that Jacobs was in talks with the design house to be appointed as he brand’s creative director. This, of course, would mean Mr. Jacobs would have to vacate his post at Louis Vuitton, welcoming even further reshuffling at LVMH.
Here’s the kicker.
Deliciously successful creative director of Celine, Phoebe Philo, is rumored to be in line to take over for Jacobs at Louis Vuitton! Oooh but don’t stress, Celine fanatics, Phoebe wouldn’t dare abandon Celine during its infallible winning streak. Reports say she plans to straddle both. That little French minx!
